Russian Style Salmon

A friend of mine, who's spent a few years in Moscow, shared with me this easy to prepare and delicious recipe. If you haven't realised yet, I'm a huge fan of salmon: in my opinion, the queen of all fish!
We, Bulgarians (same as Russians, Greeks, Serbians...) enjoy gathering with friends at our homes, sitting around the table, drinking and eating small bites, mainly dry meat, but also fish, cheese, olives, some salads. In Bulgaria, we call it "meze", and btw, that's exactly how it's called in Greece also!
I'm not a big drinker (in fact in the last year I've drank less than 3 bottles of wine in total) but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a good company and meze ;)
More to this, once you've prepared the Russian style salmon, you will be able to choose the way you use it. I made some sandwiches, which turned out to be delicious and am going to share this recipe with you as well.
Let's start with the main recipe:

1. Salmon: 3-400 g

2. Salt: Himalayan crystal salt

Step 1:
Put the salmon in a plastic bag, along with the salt:

Step 2: Seal the bag and leave in the fridge for 3-4 days;

Step 3: After 3-4 days open the bag and slice the salmon!

You will notice that the salmon changed its colour and its thickness. It's now more orange and is thick.
