Cretan Salad with Dakos

I just returned from a trip to Athens, where my good friend Sofia gave me original Cretan wheat rusks, called Dakos, and some Cretan cheese, produces by her "nonos" (godfather in Greek). Back in Sofia I was so tempted to prepare one of the most delicious Greek salads, the Cretan one, that could wait no longer and did it for lunch.

First Level Jewellery Making Completed!

I successfully completed the first level of my jewellery course and, as I promised a couple of weeks ago, am now going to show you my first efforts in jewellery crafting. After the intensive course during the summer, we had three weeks to complete our first collections of at least 8 pieces (a set counts as one piece), using at least half of the techniques learnt. We also had to think of a theme of our collection. I chose "Nature"

Fresh Zucchini and Carrot Salad

A couple of weeks ago I was in Thessaloniki with my cousins and we ate at one fantastic restaurant, Eleniko. The zucchini salad, which we had there, Cretan style with Dakos, was the best one I've ever tried. Since then I've been dreaming of eating it again... It's not like the recipe I'm now about to share with you is the same one, but boy is it tasty enough to make a close competition!
